The Erie Area Council of Governments held its first Annual Municipal Officials Assembly on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Ambassador Banquet and Conference Center’s Hemingway Ballroom. The event themed "Building Partnerships for Economic Development” was a great success.
The goal of the assembly was to begin to improve our communities through the development of partnerships that will help to achieve municipal goals while advancing regional economic development initiatives. Municipal officials learned the importance of working together not competing against eachother to enhance economic development opportunities throughout the region. Economic development professionals introduced their organizations, and the programs and services that they offer to support municipalities.
This project is a partnership between the Erie Area Council of Governments, Erie Regional Chamber & Growth Partnership, Emerge 2040, Erie County Gaming and Revenue Authority, the Erie County Redevelopment Authority, Ben Franklin Partners, Bridgeway Capital, Radius Cowork, and the County of Erie.
